This class is for those interested in learning and growing their ceramic knowledge through handbuilding. In this class, students will build upon basic pinch, coil, and slab techniques to create unique artworks that bring out their creativity. We will start by playing with different tools, found objects, tips, and tricks to create new textures and shapes that will come together into a finished sculpture piece. Next, each student will take what they have learned from their sculptural creation and add those elements to an object forming a functional piece of artwork.

This class is for anyone who has any level of previous experience working with clay, such as taking a workshop, clay classes, college electives, or high school. Kate is happy to catch you up to speed on any techniques you haven’t had much practice with!

All supplies are included in the cost of your class. All you have to bring is your creativity and desire to learn something new!
