Dino Losito Quartet featuring Ronnie Leigh. This new musical series will highlight members of the 171 Cedar Arts music faculty in collaboration with regionally recognized performers. Held in the Drake Studio Theater, this evening of live jazz, soul, and R&B arrangements will showcase the vocals of New York-native Ronnie Leigh.
Leigh is the co-founder and artistic director of Jazz in The City, as well as the artistic director for Fayetteville Jazz. With over 40 years of performance experience, he has graced major venues across the United States from Syracuse to Seattle, and internationally from New York to Istanbul. Leigh has also collaborated with major Symphony Orchestras and is a recording artist with Apple Jazz. Learn more about him at https://www.ronnieleigh.com/
Dino Losito began studying piano at the age of four. He attended William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ, where he pursued jazz performance studies. Since then, he has showcased his talent throughout the US and abroad, performing at renowned venues such as Birdland, Blue Note, Dizzy's at Lincoln Center, and the NBC Rainbow Room. Losito has been a featured artist on numerous recordings, and his debut CD 'Like That' has garnered significant critical acclaim. For over two decades, he has been imparting his piano expertise to students of all ages and skill levels. Dino has been a dedicated faculty member at 171 Cedar Arts Center since 1996.
In recognition of his outstanding teaching abilities, Dino was awarded the Bob Kinner Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence in 2022.
