Cooking & Tasting with Brud Holland Series | 2024

Join us in 2024 on the first Saturday of each month from January to April for this year’s four-part series: Cooking & Tasting with Brud! Brud Holland, Fox Run Vineyard’s Chef and longtime culinary instructor brings his easygoing style together with new recipes, new wines, and some fascinating background on both the food scene and winemaking in the Finger Lakes. Classes will include recipes, a demonstration of cooking the recipes, and a tasting of the food along with the wine pairing. Brud will share tips, tricks, and interesting nuggets of information that will provide new insights into the wide-ranging culture of winemaking in the Finger Lakes: how different landscapes of vineyard sites affect grapes, comparing conditions on the eastern and western shores of many Finger Lakes vineyards, and what ultimately ends up in the bottle!

Class #3 – March 2, 2024 | Gnocchi & Damiani Wine Cellars

Considered on of the top red wine producers in the Finger Lakes, Damiani’s commitment to quality and the growing conditions on the east side of Seneca Lake are unparalleled. This class will pair one of Brud’s favorite pastas—gnocchi—with the amazing depth of flavor and the concentration of the aromatics in wines of Damiani.

Class #4 – April 6, 2024 | East Coast vs. West Coast on Seneca

Join us for this double header where we feature Boundary Breaks Vineyard from the east side and Anthony Road Wine Company from the west side. The two wineries will be facing off in a white wine throwdown comparing two varietals grown and vinted into exceptional wines from very different locations. Recipes will feature a West Coast California-inspired salad and a classic East Coast seafood favorite.
