Michael Teaches: Summer Theater Camp and Voice Lessons

Recognized for his talent in bringing out exceptional sound from small groups, Michael is known for his ability to create a comfortable atmosphere where musicians thrive. Michael graduated from Ithaca College, during which time he studied with Dr. Janet Galvan, Dr. Amanda Demaris, and Lawrence Doebler. In his time at Ithaca, Michael had the opportunity to lead the Ithaca College Intergenerational Choir as assistant director, the Delta Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia as President, as well as the Ithaca College Chorus as a section leader. Michael obtained his Master in Music Education at Nazareth College, with a focus on autism spectrum disorders. Michael is the Vocal Music director at Dundee Central School, where he teaches Senior High Chorus, Junior High Chorus, New Media, and group lessons in guitar, piano, and voice. Michael has previously taught elementary vocal and general music at Campbell-Savona, as well as prepared many students for NYSSMA all-state adjudications, auditions, and other performances. Michael leads the choir at the United Church of Christ in Corning and frequently performs with the Chorus of the Southern Finger Lakes. Michael has also served as Vocal Director and Sound and Light Coordinator for various companies and shows in the southern tier for the past 8 years.
