Music – Violin
Alejandra Diemecke has been playing Suzuki Violin since age four. Throughout her childhood she studied at Ithaca Talent Education taking lessons with various teachers such as Carrie Reuning-Hummel and Jennifer Myers.
Alejandra went to Sarah Lawrence College to study theater and took private violin lessons with Sungrai Sohn during her time there. Alejandra took a year abroad in Florence, Italy where she studied music, taking private lessons in both voice and violin.
After graduating from Sarah Lawrence, Alejandra returned to Ithaca and was certified to teach Suzuki Book One. Alejandra has been teaching for over a year and has been serving as a practice buddy to students above Book Six level for the last five years.
When Alejandra is not teaching she plays in The Finger Lakes Strings Quartet as well as in a folk rock band by the name of The Ilium Works.
