Sophie Mayolet

Language - French

Sophie Mayolet was born and raised in the city of Chartres in France, famous for its magnificent white Roman and Gothic style cathedral, and its long history in creating stained glass and the famous glass color: “Blue of Chartres.”

A psychologist specializing in child psychopathology, Sophie graduated from the University Rene Descartes La Sorbonne in Paris. She taught psychology and patient relations to nursing students, animated groups for the French ministry of safe driving, and exercised her profession by working with children with deep affective and social needs.

In mid-2005, Sophie came to Corning with her husband and three children. She loves literature, arts and antiques, and has enjoyed teaching French to children and adults since 2009.
