Martha Manikas-Foster is a writer, broadcaster, and potter living in Corning, NY who uses slips, underglazes, and carving tools to decorate her thrown and hand-built ceramics. Martha’s work has been included in the Arnot Art Museum’s Gallery Gala 2015 and the museum’s 2015 Holiday Art Market, as well as in 171 Cedar Art Center’s Houghton Gallery for its 2015 Artful Exhibit and its 2016 Faculty Exhibition. Martha teaches one-day ceramics workshops in the art center’s ceramics studio. Her functional work is available for purchase on Corning’s Market Street at The Source at Factory 2. She is a member of the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes where she regularly displays her work.
