One Warm December: Celebrating the Season with Storytelling and Song 

As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, get cozy with 171 Cedar Arts Center and Mitchell Hurricane Smith as we celebrate the season with a variety of holiday music ranging from contemporary pop songs to classic religious tunes. Join Mitchell and friends as they sing songs and share stories about this unique and amazing time of year. 

This fun holiday cabaret features local poets and writers who will share the inspiration they find in the splendor of winter while Mitchell and his guitar will share songs of holiday heartbreak by artists like Dolly Parton and George Michael, Traditional and Spiritual melodies to honor the holidays being celebrated, and a few ditties the salute winter and the weather that accompanies it. 

Let us celebrate what makes the winters here in Upstate so special: snow, family, friends, and community. The joy of the lights and the company of loved ones is where we find hope and what is needed to get us through our harsh winters, so before you go into hibernation, celebrate with us on Saturday, December 9 starting at 6 PM.

All purchased tickets will be held at the 171 box office. The box office will open at 5:00 PM the night of the concert for will-call ticket pickup. To ensure a smooth and efficient pickup process, please remember to bring a valid photo ID that matches the name on your ticket order.
