171 offers classes in a variety of art forms – music, dance, visual arts, ceramics, culinary arts, language and more – for people of all ages and skill levels. All class offerings may be viewed online.

171’s Houghton Gallery is open six days a week providing a quiet space to discover something new and unexpected. Exhibitions change approximately every 6-8 weeks.

The Studio Theater in the Drake House hosts performances by local theatrical and musical performers, and student recitals.
